With 90% of brain development taking place before the age of six, where your children stay while you’re away can make all the difference.
The State of Ohio has recognized Play Academy with one of the highest awards for excellence in the care of young children! We were named a Five-Star Step Up To Quality program. Star Ratings are only given to Ohio’s best early care and education programs that surpass licensing standards.
We wanted to let you know of our honor and thank you for supporting our efforts! With 90% of brain development taking place before age six, our children must grow up in an environment that develops their self-confidence, social and emotional skills and a love for learning. Research confirms that as programs add stars, the benefits to children add up.
When parents enter the workforce or take classes to improve their job prospects, we’re here to support them. We invite you to tour our business and see firsthand the impact we are having on young children. To schedule a tour, please contact us

Quality care is more important than ever because Ohio Kindergarten Readiness Assessment Literacy (KRAL) scores show our kids aren’t ready for school with an average of 60% needing at least one form of remediation. In some districts, the scores are even more alarming.
Our Step Up To Quality program offers low teacher/student ratios, more highly trained teachers and a commitment to learning based on Ohio’s Early Learning Content Standards and Infant and Toddler Guidelines. We tell parents to reach for the stars when choosing care for their young ones. Today we feel like they are in our grasp.
