Play Academy Childcare center is an educational program established to provide quality education and loving care for children between 4 weeks and 12 years old. Celebration of diversity is a big part of our program because it helps children and families strengthen their own identity and values. Our educational goal is to help children blossom emotionally and intellectually at their own pace in areas that interest them. Children who play, create, and explore in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment discover a love of learning.

Our Childcare Mission:

Step up to Quality Rating System

Step Up To Quality is a quality rating and improvement system administered by the Ohio Department of Children and Youth. SUTQ recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality program standards that exceed preschool licensing and school age child care licensing health and safety regulations. Step Up To Quality program standards are based on national research identifying standards which lead to improved outcomes for children.

All Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Preschool Special Education (PSE) programs are mandated to participate in Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) and are required to achieve a rating of bronze, silver or gold.

We use a creative, high-quality, developmentally appropriate High-Scope curriculum and teacher resources. The curriculum provides a balance of daily teacher-directed activities and child-directed activities in our childcare centers in Cleveland. Our teachers’ goal is to make learning fun and help prepare your child for the future.

CHILD CARE FOOD PROGRAM

This facility participates in the federally funded Child Care Food Program, and meets USDA nutrition requirements for meals served.
